Are there health risks associated with diet drinks?
I'm 21 and enjoy drinking any beverages containing less sugar diet (eg Pepsi Max, Coke Zero, Diet Coke / Pepsi, diet alone etc.) at times in large quantities, and my mom tells me that drinking too much, but do not think I can make myself damage. I was just inquiring as to whether drinking too much of these drinks containing phenylalanine has any effect on the body or not worth worrying about. Thank you.
My friend is a dentist and she thinks people do not know enough about the effects of all soft drinks in the body (including water with gas). CO2 gas used to make bubbles changes the chemistry of the body during a time when you eat and your body loses calcium, so drinking soda at the time (and only takes 4 or more cans of a week!) weakens bones and teeth, even if you eat many foods with calcium in it because the effect is quite strong.As drinks for the effects of artificial sweetener in large doses, and it appears that consuming these drinks, then just put phenylalanine in any search engine or make any medical professional about their level of consumption and you'll have plenty of reasons to stop drinking it. I used to drink at least 3 cans a day, more in summer and it was difficult wean myself off them, but frankly are just not worth the effects on your body (and dental bills)
